Pack familiar items. Pack all your pet's toys, blankets, drugs, food and collars in one box and give it to the person who will be responsible for moving your pet. Don't wash the toys prior to your move as this may take away familiar smells that will help your pets feel comfortable during the journey. 
Prepare a written instruction. Most pets are accustomed to routines you have established over the years.
